AfroResistencias - Afro-Cuban dance laboratory

AfroResistencias is an Afro-Cuban dance laboratory. These dances have endured in popular knowledge and Afro-descendant Cuban and Latin American cultures as symbols of resistance, freedom and connection with the wisdom of bodies ancestral that travels to the present through gestures, songs and rites. AfroResistencias proposes a creative, dance and musical experience, facilitated by the Cuban scenic creator and cultural manager José Ramón Hernández , who will pass through the Complejo del Voodoo and its manifestations; the universe of Palo Mayombe; the Yoruba Dances; the Complex of Rumba and Popular Dances. Dances characterized by their strength, skill and combination of mythical, historical, profane and political elements. Dances necessary to return to spirituality of our ancestors and find in it the strength, the sound and the inspiring movements of our struggles today. AfroResistencias is part of the project ÁLAMO (afro-latin-movement) from Osikán - nursery of creation. This laboratory it has been facilitated in Madrid, New York, Mexico, Santiago de Chile and Havana.
Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Orishas in Cuba - a trip to Yorubaland I (Elegguá, Oggún and Osho
Elegguá, Oggún and Oshosi are warrior orishas of the Yoruba pantheon. We will travel to Yorubaland in twelve intensive days through the myths, songs, musicalities, rites and dances of these Orishas.
